한국 음식 - Food Fashion

My Korean trip last week would have not been possible without the amount of food we consumed in our busy work week. What amazed me about Korean food is its diverse texture, amazing flavors & spices. From BBQ beef to raw fish with 24 C gold painted foils, this part of the trip I had to blog about. The food in the pictures give some beautiful colours and shapes but combined with all the different plates and bowl shapes, each and every photo taken from a Birds eye view has a unique story that it tells.

Enjoy..

한국 2 부 - Korea Part 2

I finally arrived home today at 7am and over the nine hour flight was reflecting on the huge 10 days Aster and I had in Korea. For me, Korea is a special place, a place that is full of energy, diverse lifestyle and amazing food. My feelings towards Koreans is special too as they are  very polite and very approachable.
I have snapped a few shots of random things we did, from our big Saturday night out in the town were I was nearly kicked out three times for using my camera in the club, to our hot and sweaty days in the textile markets where we carried 100's of meters of fabrics through 1000's of people and little lane way shops, oh and also my Thursday night drive through the busy roads of Seoul..
Stay tune for our shoot with Korean/American Model Michael, it will be posted by  the end of the week.

Thank you to Micheal, Jin Su, Yo Hun & Ju for your hospitality and kindness, look forward to seeing you soon.

한국에 환영 - Welcome to Korea

여보세요 hello,
Our International Business Manager Aster and I arrived in Korea Sunday. We will be here for 10 days overseeing our next Summer collection Production and fall 2011 sampling. I have been to Korea before, only 2 years ago I came here with Tanja my partner as she was working for Fashion Trend Magazine covering Seoul Collection which is Korea's premiere Fashion Week. It was then that I was so inspired by this amazing country and its people and not to forget its fashion. The amount of inspiration, fashion driven people and mass possibilities of design and concept is incredible. With Fabric wholesale areas that take up pretty much most of Brisbane's inner city and not too mention the trims, machines and accessories.

Im currently staying with my Korean-American Friend Michael, who is a international model based in Korea. Stay tune as this week we will shoot "L O O K SUBFUSCO #6" in Korea and with Michael modeling.
