Matt Stewart Vs Subfusco

We at Subfusco love collaborations, they are exciting and it gives a chance for like minded people to create unique things that are not main stream. Our latest collaboration has been with local Artist Matt Stewart, With a background in design, marketing and advertising, Matt's artwork has a very commercial feel to it.  The strong and structured shapes featured on his pieces every now and then give way to a looser style, paying tribute to the abstract artist within.

His skills lie in everything from painting and illustration to creating artwork and designs and more recently, embarking on a side project with several fashion and textile lines. Tongue in cheek, being able to say that he has featured his pieces in The GOMA on
3 occasions, pretty much sums up the cheeky style and personality of  Matt himself.

Printing designs onto shirts is nothing new.   However, when two focussed and artisic brands get together, ideas are thrown around for hours until something that is smooth, extremely fashionable and downright cool is produced. The artwork was produced to compliment the Subfusco garment design, with the versatility to be worn dressed up or down.
Stay tune for more collaborations with Matt & other local creative’s, if you have a project in mind, please feel free to contact us, we would love to hear your ideas..
